Mission ActivitiesUPCOMING MISSION OPPORTUNITIES OUR FIVE CENTS A MEAL HUNGER OFFERING received in January was $339.10. This offering supports the needy locally, as well as in other parts of the world. MISSION ACTIVITIES AT WPC: RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE IN DECEMBER Our annual Red Cross Blood Drive in December went very well. We were able to collect a total of 18 units. Youth Fellowship Mission trip to Kentucky: The last week in July a group of 21 youth and adults went to Kentucky on a mission trip to make badly needed repairs on several homes. Below are some photos of their work.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY The last Habitat for Humanity workday for 2011 was Saturday, October 8th. It will resume again in April. By working with several teams in this area, four homes have been built. Below are some pictures taken at the various work sites.

Angel Food Ministry Two teams from Waldensian Presbyterian Church join other church groups in the Valdese area taking their turns in the Angel Food ministry at the First Methodist Church. Each team is responsible for purchasing and preparing the food, filling take-out boxes and serving dinner to those who come to the meal. Over 400 residents of Burke County are served each time. |
