To All

We are a church of rich heritage and warm hospitality which follows Christ into worship shares with Christ in fellowship and serves Christ both within and beyond our doors

Our Core Values are faith in God and Jesus Christ love for neighbors both near and far and a burning desire to bring hope, wholeness and joy to all peoples in all stations of life

Worship

The Waldensian Presbyterian Church provides two forms of worship each Sunday. Several times a year, these two services are blended for a special message or event and worship times can change. Please view the church calendar before visiting.

CONNECTIONS SERVICE (See Photos Below)
A creative and informal worship, entitled Connections, is held in Pioneer Hall (Fellowship Hall) Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. Though the order of worship is similar to the traditional service, it features a drop-down screen with announcements, scripture readings and graphics to visually enhance the message. The music is contemporary and enjoyed by everyone. The Holy Sacraments of Communion and Baptism are a periodic part of worship. The openness and friendliness is felt by all. Come early for unique coffees at 8:15 a.m. and a variety of music.

TRADITIONAL SERVICE (See photos below)
Traditional worship service is at 10:55 a.m. Nursery care for pre-school age children is provided. As with the Connections service, the Holy Sacraments of Communion and Baptism are a periodic part of worship. Throughout the year there are other opportunities to worship together, such as prayer groups, ecumenical worship with other churches in our community, and our annual Christmas Cantata musical service.
The sanctuary, which has undergone numerous enhancements and expansions in recent years, is highlighted by its majestic pipe organ and its stained glass windows which depict thirteen other Christian nations and the Presbyterian Church USA with a variety of Christian imagery. From the image below, you can see the lectern and pulpit. Flanking these are pews for the youth choirs (and additional seating in cases of high attendance.) The Chancel choir sits behind and on either side of the Communion Table. The pipe organ console and the piano are located behind the table.
Leading worship through music are the Chancel Choir and several Youth Choirs, as well as an adult Handbell Choir. French hymns often serve as part of worship to commemorate the unique heritage of our church.
In an effort to extend its ministry to anyone with special needs WPC is handicap accessible and has special rows designed for wheelchairs. Also hearing devices are available for the hard of hearing. For those unable to attend the service in person a taped ministry program is part of our regular outreach. Contact the church office, 874-2531, for details.
