Members of the Scholarship Board of Trustees

There shall be a minimum of six members who shall be appointed by the Chairman as presiding officer- three past moderators of Presbyterian Women, two Presbyterian Women members-at-large, and one member of Session.  The current PW Moderator and Vice Moderator shall serve as ex-officio members.  The Chairman shall preside over the deliberations of the committee and represent the committee before the PW Coordinating Team.   The trustees shall also elect a Vice Chairman who shall serve in the same capacity in the absence of the presiding officer, a Secretary and Treasurer.

Scope

The scope of the Scholarship Board of Trustees shall include the scholarship program administered by the Presbyterian Women of Waldensian Presbyterian Church.  The scope shall also include all policies and procedures required for promoting, implementing and administering the scholarship program.

 

Purpose

the purpose of the Board of Trustees is to develop all necessary policies, procedures and strategies required to develop, implement and administer a scholarship program.  The program is intended to offer scholarship awards in order to minimize educational expenses to deserving Waldensian Presbyterian Church members who exhibit academic achievement and /or financial need.
