Waldensian Presbyterian Women Scholarships

Mission Statement:

Recognizing the principles of education historically revered by the Waldenses, the mission of the Waldensian Presbyterian Women Scholarship Program is to serve God by ministering to the intellectual needs of all His people in the congregation by furthering the education of deserving students and members of Waldensian Presbyterian Church.

Covenant

The Scholarship Board of Trustees, selected and appointed as impartial, discerning administrators, accept the challenge of governance of the Waldensian Presbyterian Women Scholarship Program acting in good faith and within the Waldensian Presbyterian Women By-law's and with full accord of the Session of Waldensian Presbyterian Church.

The Function

1.  Serve as the scholarship recipient selection committee for awarding scholarships

2. Determine scholarship needs of the congregation and create scholarships that will be awarded to qualified applicants

3.  Recommend policies and procedures related to those needs

4.  Recommend changes to the scholarship program as appropriate

5.  Secure and ensure a sound financial base

6.  Establish and administer endowed scholarships as part of the scholarship program
