BAKED POTATO LUNCH & MISSION TRIP FUNDRAISER - MAY 5th A Team of 7 to 10 church members will travel from Valdese to our sister Church Nueve Jerusalem in Coatepequez, Guatemala during the week of July 22 to July 30. The purpose of this trip will be to build relationships of faith and friendship with our sister congregation through a variety of activities. In addition we will also host an evening Vacation Bible School with the children of the church. This team will represent the congregation of our church. PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Mark your calendars for the Presbyterian Women’s Birthday Celebration/Covered Dish Dinner to be held on Monday, May 13th at 6pm in Pioneer Hall. We will enjoy a meal, have a brief business meeting, install new officers and worship together. The Presbyterian Women’s Coordinating Team will meet at 5:30pm in Room 200 just prior to the Birthday Celebration. PARENTS OF GRADUATES… ATTENTION GRADUATES! If you plan to attend, please RSVP by calling the church office (874-2531). MEDICAL EQUIPMENT SUPPLIES Need some crutches or a shower seat or maybe some other type of medical equipment? The church’s medical committee is trying to put a list together of members who would be willing to loan out their medical equipment to our members. If interested in loaning your equipment, please contact Renee Gravel at 368-2118 or e-mail at reneegravel@yahoo.com. Just in case you need something before we compile the list, please visit the Burke Hospice Thrifts and Gifts Store or the Foothills Thrift Shop on Main Street, Valdese. Both stores have gently used items for unbelievably low prices.
